Time to get your hands messy! These delicious little balls are a snack to include around your workouts. Eat before your session for a quick energy boost, or after to replenish glycogen and increase protein intake. They are quick and easy to make, and fun to do with the kids. Just wash your hands afterwards!

180g dark tahini jar (must be quite runny) 3 scoops (60g) Myprotein organic banana flavoured whey protein (can substitute with other flavours) 1 small cup almond flour 2 large almost ripe fair-trade bananas ½ small cup milled sprouted flaxseed ¼ small cup dessiccated coconut ¼ small cup cacao nibs 2 tbsp Madagascar bourbon vanilla extract (or normal vanilla extract)
1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, using your hands, combine the ingredients together until the entire mixture becomes firm enough to hold together when formed into small to medium-sized balls. Roll the mixture firmly into 22-25 evenly sized balls.
2. Place the balls which you will use the same day or the following day in an airtight container to store in the fridge.
3. Get creative! Roll in dessiccated coconut, whey protein powder, cacao powder, cacao nibs or honey if preferred.
4. Place the remaining balls in another airtight container and into the freezer for up to 3 months. Defrost one portion of balls the night before consumption by placing into an airtight container and storing in the fridge.
